Broken leg need help

I have a cinnamon teal I just got and seems his leg is broken what can you do to help a duck with a broken leg and will he ever breed now

can you explain what you're seeing with his leg more?

Can it move at all on his own?
Are you able to move it at all?
What part do you think it broken?
Is it swollen, if so where?
Is the skin broken anywhere?


More information would be nice

I havent caught him up to look too close hes draggin his leg though
He will put slight pressure it seems on it but wont walk on it he just hops and is not getting around good at all
I relly dont want to lose this drake as I have been wanting them for years
I cant see any bone or busted skin just looking
I guess I need to catch him up and look a liittle closer

I've never had to deal with a broken bone, but you might get more answers from people that know about these sorts of things once you get him up close for better observation.

Ok caught him up
Doesnt show any break in skin and cant see an actual break in the leg
He isnt moving the leg at all so should I just take him to a vet ?

If you're able to afford a vet, that would be your best bet, imo

Checked on the vet thing and because they consider it an exotic it would cost twice what I paid for them in the first place
So I guess I am going to quaratine him and give some boost meds and see how it goes

I had a duck that got half eaten by my dog. He was dragging his leg for a little, but after about two weeks he started regaining strength. Then he ran away.

I say give it a little and if it isn't better in two weeks then go to a vet.

Not sure of age full feathered w/breeder colors though
