What's the temperature where you are???

Saturday: 6:30pm, 80°F, dew point 77°F, humidity 96%, wind E @ 6mph, cloudy, rain has stopped for now, we got 10" since 4am.
UPDATE: The number of dead have rose to 43, and climbing. 17 adults, 15 children, 5 children still unidentified. There's still 27 girls missing from Camp Mystic. :(

Parts of Seguin were under water, the main street in front of the hospital was under about a foot of water....this is on high ground. Between SH 123 business and SH 123 bypass, it looked like a lake, approximately 5 miles. We're expected to get more rain tonight. :barnie Here's a video of Court Street in Seguin, the hospital is to the right in the video but you can't see it, this is behind the HEB grocery store and the First Commercial Bank.

Saturday: 9:00am, 77°F, dew point 75°F, humidity 100%, wind S @ 10mph, thunderstorms, torrential rain coming down, flood warnings have been issued. The storm just seems to be stalled out over us....been raining since about 4am.
UPDATE: the woman that is shown in the tree was actually sweeped down river for 20 miles, not 12. The first girl they found from the Mystic camp was 12 miles down stream.

It’s in the News up here - so very tragic. Where there no warnings for this? I am crying for those families, so very sad.

It happened so fast that there was no warning!!! The Guadalupe River rose 30 feet in 2 hours, estimates differ but between 12 and 18 inches of rain fell in the area. It actually started raining out in San Angelo and the Concho River valley, and moved East, this was around midnight, by 2am, the Guadalupe was already rising to near flood stage. The flood gauges along the Guadalupe were taken out by the wall of water that was coming down the river. It is very sad and tragic!
Here's a video of Canyon Lake, before the flood and 12 hours later, it's nowhere being full but it has come up a huge amount and will continue to fill. https://www.facebook.com/reel/727608513361958/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

Thank you for your concern. The rain started on Monday and the wind started around 3.30a.m. and hasnt stopped. Glad you are getting some welcomed sunshine there.

The amount of debris washed up is quite impressive. The dogs were happy to get out today for a good sniff around in all the weed. Its raining lightly again now.

Glad you are alright. We had terrible wind for a few days, but that was nothing compared to the damage done in NSW.

I heard that - astonishing how fast it rose, gosh how terrifying, it’s all the talk here about the amount of rain that fell.

Here last winter it was snow - an astonishing amount fell - houses that were 50 yrs old had roofs collapsing. Then the ice storm, we are still cleaning up and fixing stuff in this area from winter and now it’s scorching hot.

What is going on with Mother Nature? She has gone off the rails for sure.
