Broken, runny egg yolks found inside culled hen

I culled two hens on Sunday and both of them had gobs of yellow broken yolk goo inside their abdomens. I am assuming they were internal layers? Also pulled out a "jelly egg" that she was preparing to lay. This explains why out of 9 hens I've only been getting 2 eggs a day

Do you think they are ok to eat? They did not show any other signs except one had crusted poo around her behind. Otherwise everything inside looked ok.
