Broken toe, bumblefoot, got, infection?

Hi, I'm sorry about all this, I remember seeing this thread but I am starting to be a little worried that I could be perceived as some kind of PRID troll , and I assumed you knew because I had posted on one or two bumblefoot threads on the same page.......Oh well, late is better than never.
PRID (from pharmacies or amazon) has a good reputation of draining infection, as can be seen from the revues on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GKN36W/?tag=backy-20
I really love the feathered and I want the best for them so I'll just cut and paste a fragment of the top review from amazon, left by 'Sarah':

"Randomly I came across PRID drawing salve on a site on how to get rid of cysts fast. I swear I have been to almost every acne forum online because of how long I have been suffering from acne. I am an adult...words cannot express the psychologically damaging effects cystic acne has, let alone as an adult. I obtained a jar of PRID because of the rave reviews for its drawing powers on cysts.

Last night at 3:00 a.m., I put on a thick gob on the cyst and went to sleep. At 10:30 a.m., I wiped the salve off. The night before, I had used a sterilized pin to try and pop it, (like I said before, it was softer than the chin cysts, otherwise I never would have done that), so there was a small hole in the cyst. So this morning after I wiped the salve off, I pushed the cyst upward slightly to encourage drainage. I couldn't believe it...the salve had WORKED. A whole bunch of stuff came out (sorry, gross) and I immediately felt less pain and the size had reduced. I continued putting the salve on for a few hours (the jar says twice a day, but I put it on every two hours, took it off, and gently pushed to encourage drainage). Eventually nothing else came out, so I need to let it sit again overnight, but in ONE DAY the size has DECREASED BY MORE THAN HALF.

Normally these things take TWO WEEKS to go away! And the salve made it almost completely drain in 12 HOURS?! It's magic."

If you want to use this, it's best to wear disposable gloves when applying it, because it can be easily contaminated by our hands.

Thank you so much! I will definitely order this if I am not successful tomorrow trying to remove the pus!

I used this on a soft tissue infection of my own with slightly hopeful results. A day after the mediocre results the infection came back and the long story was that i had to have the whole nasty deep pus pocket removed. In this case i dont say don't try it. It might help but it was less than a miracle for me.

Eta -- i am susceptible to localized infections and find warm water helps them drain and heal faster.

I couldn't get anymore pus to come out today and it looks terrible. I went ahead and scheduled for her to have it amputated tomorrow morning.
I think it's a good choice. It might be less pain for the bird in the long run, instead of constantly poking and squeezing that poor toe. This gets it over with in a hurry. And, since the toe wasn't very functional to begin with, she will adjust quickly and easily

She is doing really well without it and walks better now than she ever did. :)
