Broken toe? Help

Hello,
Last night my chicks escaped from there brooder and got into the sewing thread. When I came down this morning they had thread wrapped around their foot and toes. The toes look OK but they are having a hard time walking and won’t put any weight on that foot. Did they break it?

Update: they seem to be putting a little more weight on each foot and the redness is going down

Update: They are both putting weight on there bad foot, but are limping a little bit. Please i need your input!
