Broken toe

I have a young guinea hen with a broken nail. It’s bent quite badly and the toe is very swollen, like filled with pus.
Aside from soaking and disinfecting the foot, what can I do or expect to happen??

How about posting a photo of the toe and nail so we may judge the seriousness of the injury? You may need to remove the nail.
