A few days ago I was putting the 1 gallon waterer in the brooder and one of my 4 1/2 week old chicks ran under it. She got her toe stuck and I didn't realize until she was screaming that it was there. I took it out and didn't really see anything wrong. Now, it is several days later and I noticed that the rt outside toe is bent to the side and almost flipped upside down. I took a large bandaid and wrapped it to straighten it out. Did I do the right thing? It really looked bad the color is good but it was just flopping when she walked.
