Broken wing bone protruding

Hi there,
I am a very new chicken owner! This is our hen who went missing two days ago, this morning I found her by the coop laying on the ground. Her only injury appears to be a broken wing but I am not sure if she can be saved. The whole bone is broken off at her shoulder and the bone is protruding from her shoulder. The wing hang totally limp and she steps on it when she tries to walk. She is eating and drinking and seems okay besides the wing. Wondering what I can do and if she can be saved?
I am also concerned that there is a bad odor at the wound and thinking it is infected already.
Even if the wound and bone heals eventually, what can be done about the hanging wing?

Hi im new here too. idk if you have any vets that take chickens near you but if you do you might want to take her there. likely if its that bad shell need it amputated and to be put on a course of antibiotics to stop/prevent infection. for now if you cant get her attention immediately putting iodine on the wound should slow down the bacteria and bind the wing to her side as a sort of brace. you should be able to google a shicken sling. i hope she gets better!

Welcome to BYC. If a vet is not an option, can you pluck the feathers around the injury so we can see it better?

Most likely the wing needs to be amputated. An avian vet can help you with that. Otherwise, keep her isolated, clean the wound as mentioned.
