Brooder Bedding

I've been using layers of newspapers for their bedding. Is it safe? Are there any other alternatives beside shredded wood and newspapers?

Shredded Newspaper is totally safe. Really, you can use any bedding like Wood chips, Chaff, shredder paper/newspaper. etc.

Great to hear that. At least I'm doing it right! Was quite worried about the newspaper carbon. Btw, how do you control the poop? Must I change the whole bedding or wipe with paper towel?

Hamster bedding is ok right? Not the scented ones of course!

As long as it is not cedar. You can mix a lot of things but make sure that most of what you use is absorbent.
