brooder cleaning

Today I read that about 2 weeks befor you get your chicks (mine happen to be pheasant chicks) you have to disinfect the brooder? Is this true and how would I do it

I would say yes if it has been used for something in the past. Use warm water and vinegar to clean and disinfect. if you must use soap use a tiny bit of mild soap and rinse it well, let it dry completely.


Alot of it depends on the type of brooder.
