    Hi,

My brooder is an big trunk inside a coop. Until now i covered the wood floor with straw changed periodically.
Is it safe for the chickens to have the poop right on the floor with only plastic covering the wood, without any other stuff like straw? I don't know if they're more susceptible to deceases without anything.
They're 24 days and the brooder as an exit to inside the coop where they have the feed/water. The brooder is the place where i can get more manure from as its cold here and they stay most of time bellow the lamp.

I would clean it every 1 day, 2 maximum. I really need this manure and the straw makes its difficult to dry the poop.
