I went to my local feed store today, and the owner asked if I wanted some brooders. What do I know about brooders? Anyway, he offered me this one and another large one (I think it's older) for $100 total. Was that a good deal? There's a lot of cleaning up and I'm not totally sure about the wiring since they've been outside for 10 years. So I thought I'd get your opinions.

Looks good and probably a nice deal. Right now I am using everything I can get my hands on because my babies are growing so fast. Cardboard boxes seem to be my solution

Well, that's only one of them. The other one is about 5 individual brooders boxes that are stacked on a stand.

I might clean those up and get them working and sell those. So yeah, they are going to need some work, but nothing beyond my abilities.

Hope DH doesn't freak. He told me to get them, but then sometimes all he sees is the work involved and not the possibilities. at $50 each I hope I did ok.

I'm sure all the wafers are blown I doubt that they would be any good after 10 years. But the switches might be ok, they are sealed.

Well keep your fingers crossed that I can get them working
