For now I am just using a large clear tub as my brooder. In the next few weeks my hubbie is going to build me a nice wooden one. I can't wait.

I'm usin the 275 gallon Schultz totes for brooders. Picked em up for 25 bucks each and cut em down to size and made lids for em

It's just a big plastic tub with the top that has been cut-out and wired for ventilation and safety. The light goes on the outside of the wire so there's no chance of the light falling on the chicks.
