Brooder heater

Does anyone use this brooder heater? I want to set up my brooder in my basement and not have to worry with fire risks. Will one of these work for about 20-25 broilers at a time?

I have the rent a coop brand, several of them.. and LOVE it.. Even my local friend bought two or more I cannot believe it took me so many years and fowl ups trying to make my own mama heater pad, etc before making the investment.. ONE brood worth more than covers the cost of the device in electricity usage alone compared to the 250w bulbs pushed so hard!

I cannot speak to that brand reliability etc.. but YES, do it! :jumpy:jumpy

They will NOT accommodate how many birds they claim full term.. Go bigger than you think you need!! I would probably want more than 3 height adjustments.

First timer here but I swear by this one. The legs adjust easily and the chicks love it. My 8 fit just fine.

I'm a first timer also and that's the same one I have. I did put a piece of trim in the back because a chick would sleep behind it and get head stuck between the raised portion and a leg. They took to roosting in the trim quickly.

I'm a first timer as well and have this one. I also bought some brooder heaters that can go on the wall or stand up. I was going to use together when I get my flock of 30.
I put a piece of trim between 2 legs because I had a chick that liked to sleep against the wall in the back. It would put it's head on the heater and get it's head stuck between the leg and the raised portion of the heater. They took to roosting on it quickly.

They also liked pecking at the wire, so I put gray tubing over it.
