Brooder Help!!!

i'm trying to figure out what the best type of bulb for my brooder is.
It's a small brooder not big at all, and i've done some research and some people say use a red buld and others say use a blue or white buld....I need HELP!
I don't even know what wattage to use!

(rite now i'm using a 40 watt white bulb, and it's to cool)

I dont know how many watts??? But I would use a red bulb (I heard it helps the chicks sleep better)

I've always used red, they work well. I'm pretty sure it's 250 watts... i have one of those big construction clamp lightbulb holders... they are only like 5 bucks, and then the big bulbs that fit inside them....

I would get a higher watt and red or white is up to you. I have a white one. Good luck!
