Hi there. I will be getting my chicks, ducklings and goslings soon and was trying to plan out my brooder completely. Since it will be early June when I get them the temps here in Michigan will be pretty regulated in the higher areas both day and night. Would it be okay to start the chicks in the entire coop with a heat lamp/brooding plate instead of the standard inside one? The coop is very predator proof and is inside our large fenced in yard.

No problem brooding out in a coop, just make sure to have the heat lamp well secured if using one. If you're opting for a brooding plate then scrap the heat lamp.
