We are getting 9 new chicks next week. I've brooded in the coop plenty of times but we just used and xarge dog crate because we usually only got 3-4 chicks. That is too small for 9. Does this look big enough? It's 9ftx2ft. I'm not finished. Need to cover that little opening in the corner where the light is coming through and we are going to add a better roof, just trying to keep the big girls out for now.

How big is the coop?
How many adults do you already have?
That size brooder will work fine until they are 4 weeks old and you can start integrating them in with the current flock.

@DobieLover we kind of have 2 coops. Our origina coop is a 10x12 that most of the girls sleep in and this on is an 9x10 that some sleep in. you can kind of see in this picture the door to the original coop.

@rosemarythyme awesome. Thank you. I've never had this many so fingers crossed they do well.
I think they'll do well in that set up, it's about as much space per chick as I give mine, and it puts them in view of the adults too for easier integration. Maybe just check the sizing on the gaps between the boards on the back on left side (I assume this is a pallet coop?) just to make sure they're either inaccessible by chicks, or big enough that young chicks can't get themselves stuck in them.
