I hope it doesn't get super messy in the coming weeks. Chicks are now 8 days old.

Horse water trough with homemade screen cover.

DH had someone acting all disgusted that we would have them in our house - I don't think it is that big of a deal, so that's why I took pics today - so he coudl show his friend it's really not bad!

LOL! What an idea!

Hey, my daughter likes when our cat sits on top and watches the chicks... she calls it "Dinner Theatre". lol!

We keep ours in our dining room but after about a month the dust is horrible. Time to go out then. LOL.

That looks perfectly normal to me HA!

*coming from a person that has what is referred to as "the chicken bathroom" in her house!!

You have a beautiful living room and I love the colors you've used! My DH won't allow them in the house so mine won't have the "hilton" accomodations that yours do!

But as long as I don't show them this they'll never know!!!

Mine are in the dining room and I have had to add more leaves to the table. We have added on to the brooder 3 times so the chicks have room to get away from each other. Hopefully they will go to the coop this weekend, 5 weeks is about my limit for them in the house. They are like puppies in the fact that they drop dead asleep, but when they play they don't care what time of night it is and my DH has a hard time sleeping ( :
