another vote for mother heating pad, ditch the light, ASAP! and also, I would not recommend keeping them indoors for a variety of reasons. they do fine outside from day one as long as they are separate from adults and kept safe from predators and draft. the MHP is the modern heat lamp alternative, it's vastly superior in every way, IMHO.
