Brooder location- Wife wont put up with smell?

Just got ours today, so I can't speak from experience. But we planned to use the 'master' shower as our brooder. We use the master bedroom as a study/computer room and that bathroom just doesn't get used much. That shower never gets used, so why not? It's smelling a little piney, thanks to the bedding, we'll have to see about smell later. Guess we're lucky to have an out of the way, secure, usable space.

Speaking as the wife of a man with a super-sensitive and intolerant sense of smell, someone who is sensitive to smells might also be really sensitive to d.e. in the house. My husband will complain about the d.e. in his nose for a whole day after getting anywhere near it while i can nearly bathe in the stuff and not even notice.

Thanks for all the feed back. We have decieded to use the basement. The temps stay pretty steady there(55 degrees), and I wont have to go outside. This way the kids (4 + 5 year olds) will be able to enjoy. They were really interested in the bator at first but now (day 15) they have completly forgotten about it. I cant wait to see how excited they are as they love animals.
