brooder size

My chicks are almost 3 weeks old, I 18 of them my brooder is 3 and a half feet long and 2 feet wide and looks like its getting tight in there. Does anyone have any ideas, if that is big enough or not?

Our was a 3' x 5' oval with 25 chicks and it was wall to wall chickens by 8 weeks. Didn't get the coop ready as soon as we would have liked. You will probably need more room soon.

I have 8 in that size brooder at 3 weeks.

They grow fast, and it sounds to me like you should at least double your brooder space, if not more. Good luck!

There is a link on here somewhere with pictures of people's brooders. Lots of good ideas there...
