OK, I am waiting on my chicks, about 2-3 weeks. Here is what I have so far. i have changed it a bit from looking through posts here.

Here is the side view. It is in the garage.
I have window screening around the entire thing, supported by PVC pipes.

Open front virew. The gray poles are left over from our closet organizer.
They make great roosts. I have a shoe rack higher up to hang the light from.
I added a mirror for them also.

Top view. The waterer & feeder are on a small plank of wood.

well i got luck and found this little brooder today at a poultry auction not bad to $2.50 just had to rewire and change the wafer in the thermostat.

I used scrap peices of hardboard siding and ripped 2x4's down to 1 1/2 x1 1/2. The screen and the peice of siding on the top lifts off. The brooder is 2'x2'x4'.

Here's my new brooder. 8'x4'x22''. Its divided into 2 4'x4' sections.

Mine is a deck box that I clean out for the peeps. It is in the garage with a heat lamp hanging over it and a screen on top. I only had 3 peeps in it last spring...this March it will have six (can't wait for March!).
