Thank you for all your information... its raining like cats and dogs here but we are leaving in a few to pick up the chicks. I like the idea of the cardboard around the edges I will have to do that! I will also pick up another light just in case

ours burns out!

I just got my brooder done so here it is it's 4X4X2feet hight.
I got some ideas for it from this thread.

hole in chicken wire for lamp

it now has papertowels over the bedding and the feeder and waterer and the thermometer on the floor.

Just waiting for my chicks

I can't see or open pictures from the three previous posts. Supercool webcam, though! Great idea with the bucket, as well. Love how we recycle and re-purpose here on this site.
