I'm Katie. We are getting 14 chickens for the first time next week! I was wondering if there was anyone that can lend a brooder for the time being?

Do you mean chicks? I have used a large cardboard box. I have also used the floor with cut up boxes to serves as walls.

That would depend on how big the box is.

For 14 chicks plan on a minimum of 7 sq ft floor space by 2 weeks, 14 by 4 weeks. More if at all possible. Or if the coop is ready and there are no adult chickens, brood outdoors if you can run electricity out.
