My chickens gave me 12 eggs for Christmas. No broodies here yet.

We have one bourbon red Jennie who isn't laying yet. All of our broad breasted bronze went to the freezer, except our big 42 pounder went to the oven for Thanksgiving.

He was reserved for thanks giving, he was 7 1/2 months old, & tasted awesome. Yes he was pretty, & had 2 beards.

On another note.. I am nearing my end with poultry. I’m selling off all my birds this year for a more "simple" life. I love them so much but really? I’m tired of dealing with the issues that come with them.

I’ll start selling them off in February once all ducklings are hatched.
