She’s like: I’m tired, leave my alone. Why won’t they just leave?

Heh. Nah. That was the Welsummer of that group. The australorp and Orpington both stuck around the chicks for significantly longer. (We'll call this entry #2)

Otoh, I took this picture because the orp was trying to dust bathe, and the chicks kept hopping on to her head... which strongly reminded me of not being able to go to the bathroom/talk on the phone/eat with small children.(Entry #3)

a response to bright daylight I guess. She is fine and she got the whole brood to maturity, free ranging dawn till dusk notwithstanding, so I don't think there's anything wrong with her.
