Are Phoenix hens very broody?

I have some chicks right now for a Swedish Phoenix project.

Plus I like to experience a hen raising her chicks.

This breed is new to me.

There is mixed information on this but I do have Phoenixs.

My one golden girl is brooding for me right now. She seems like she will be a good mother. She is certainly sitting eggs better than the Spitzhauben that went broody. It's what I got the Phoenix for actually.

The two silver Phoenix hens I have, haven't gone broody yet though.

Picture of her sitting.

How old are they? And you only have hens?

They wont be a year old till August 3. And no I have two golden roosters. I sold the two silvers because of behaviors I didn't want to deal with.

Where did you get your chicks? Or eggs? I’m looking everywhere I can think of and can’t find a Phoenix breeders.
I got mine from a breeder on Ebay I think he or she is located in Indiana. This person has the red, golden, and white. The males and females both have long tails. And surprisingly tame, there not very flighty. They all have clear patterns and colors. 6 eggs hatched. I can totally work with these birds for my project.

He or she also has red jungle fowl, and other breeds. I bought 6 eggs, got 9 in the box. It's was well packaged, eggs were floating in sawdust. Reminds me of the old days.

I don't see any Phoenix for sale with this person at the moment but he/she should still have eggs from them available. You just need to contact the person and ask.

Here's a screen shot of one of his items. Use the information on the page.
