Brooding different ages together? Okay?

6 days should be no problem. I have mixed them up to 2 weeks different in age with no problems. Last year I tried mixing 3 weeks difference in age and had issues with a couple of young ones that were only a couple of days old getting trampled by the older ones. I lost a couple of them. There is a huge difference in size and activity level between 3 week old vs a couple of days old.

I just did some chicken mant and realized I won't have too many chickens. See, according to my calculations, I only have one too many, and since I am still intending to rehome Archie at the room mate's request, she doesn't count.
So I am at the legal limit of 24, by the laws of chicken math. Nevermind that It is really 61
