Can valley,& gamble quail be put in a brooder with northern and Mexican bobwhite

Absolutely, as long as they are all about the same age. However, always keep an eye out for any aggression and do not crowd them in. Give them as much space as possible.

Thanks one more question kinda off base for this topic but maybe I will get some replies, I have a Mexican bobwhite whose legs point out in front of him, I have seen chicks legs be backwards spradled and all that but this is a first and so far the only one out of about 6 that have hatched, so with that I made a observation and was wanting some input from some of you guys and gals, the Mexican bobwhite eggs seem abnormal large ( as big or bigger than my countix eggs)comparied to my northern and other Mexicans that I have ordered from other breeders, could this cause a leg problem as his back side (butt) is huge could it be he is just to big for his little legs, I mean this thing is the largest bobwhite of any mutation I have ever hatched out, will try to post a pic later tonight

Sometimes chicks have foot issues at hatch. Sometimes it is genetic, sometimes it is improper incubation temps. Don't give up on this little guy. His legs are probably a bit weak. But he may gain strength over the next week. You will probably see him crawling to get to the feed and water. Make it easy for him to eat by sprinkling food around him and keeping a low waterer near by. If he keeps eating and drinking, he may outgrow this condition. Just make sure he IS eating and drinking. You can also add liquid vitamins to the water for a boost.

Only two out of the 15 that hatched looked like this true rest are doing great and he is eatting and drinking so maybe he will come out of it this is just the weirdest legs I have ever seen
