Broody 1 week before chicks arrive

Done, all five chicks tucked under Mama Fluffy's wings, not a peep out of any of them. Everyone resting well, chicken cam on and no sounds or movement.

I will be getting up early and checking on them, I think this is going to work out just fine

It got boring quick! Not a peep out of them all night, lights came on an hour ago and I turned the cam on in bed, I could see Fluffy sit up and adjust the chicks under her, could hear a peep here and there but no sign of the chicks. So I put on my robe and went out there, Fluffy let me pet her but so far she is keeping them a secret.

Well at least I did not wake up to dead and maimed chicks, I am glad I had a couple hours with them yesterday because who knows when Fluffy will decide to share!

All seems well, they are still under Fluffy.

I have to say I am a bit worried she could smother one and not know it, I wish she would let me do a head count! The chicks were super hungry when I brought them home yesterday and ate a lot, hopefully Fluffy lets them out to eat.

Smothering, or a fatal stepping on, can happen...but it's not too common.
I assume you have the chick sized feeder and waterer out and close to where she is?
If she doesn't have them out by mid day I'd go ahead and grab a chick and bring it to the waterer.
You can reach under, palm up, and lift her body so you can see under there a bit.
