Broody 1 week before chicks arrive

When you placed the chicks under Fluffy, did you put them under her wings? belly? chest?

Just wondering because I have a broody hen, and if it sticks for a couple more weeks, I'd like to get one baby chick from the feed store (that's all I have room for until I have a bigger coop!) for her to adopt...

It was dark,I lifted the wings and popped them under, she adjusted
