Broody attacking new chicks...HELP

Well I'm feeling better now...my daughter and I just went and sat in the coop. I dropped a little scratch in the dish in front of Millie, and as soon as she started pecking at it, a chick zipped out and jumped in the dish and started pecking. It came out so fast it startled Millie, I held my breath as I wasn't sure what was going to happen then the other chick came out and sat in the dish pecking as well. Millie quietly clucked to them.

Then one chick went to the water (a little further out) and drank a ton...then had a poop! Ahhh, good old Millie. I'm sure the chicks will now come out and eat on their own. I'll have to post a photo.

I feel like I can finally enjoy my chickies!!! So happy they are zipping around...eating and drinking and pooping...I wonder if Wednesday will bring more?! Thank you for helping me along. I probably would have taken them away and set up a heat lamp after that first attack on the chick. I will definitely give her more space while she is broody.

My hen can't see very well...since she's been broody I haven't been trimming her "Silkie Hat" ....trying not to disturb her.
She pecked at a chick when I held it in front of her just like she did with my hand (typically friendly but not while broody)
After I set the baby down, she was fine. Still went after my hand, but very gentle with the babies.

I have been wondering if I should trim around her eyes? Didn't know people did that. She moves around a lot even when I try to look at her eyes. Is there an easy way to do that?
