Broody Breakin'

@Kiki I did follow your first post link. Thank you.

Volume of feed is a consideration - chicken vs quail.

Also still searching/wondering about using a waterer "head" for rough crumble feed?

Particularly given @aart comment "used a dremel grinder to make the opening in the trough larger so crumble would get thru".

It appears you can attach the head, in the link, to a larger 2 liter bottle too.

What do you mean by "volume?
The amazon title "Poultry Chickens Quail Bird" is vague, think it means it could be used with any of those.

I opened it up in this area shown in red.
Was plenty big for the Flock Raiser crumble.

Might want to think about switching to HN's.
Much easier to deal with in winter and have other advantages, like crate waterers.
I made a DIY 5 gallon pail with horizontal nipples. I had issues with freezing, I believe when our power went out. I recall leaking nipples and my pail spit where the nipples were screwed in.

Quality of nipples? Pail too big? Poultry farmer?
