My smallest buff orp is broody. i want to break her broody because she is skinny and i dont want her to lose weight. she isnt picked on and my girls have constant access to food and water she is just small. they free range and i think she might be supplementing with low cal options like maple leaves or something and she had lice the longest a few months back so thats when the weight change happened i think but anyways no lice for a while. can i put her on the roost at night? i sectioned off an area in one of the runs where she can hang out without nesting and where (i pray) she might eat and drink a lot. but i dont inow if i have the heart to isolate her at night. she loves her sisters and they really get along well. no bullies despite the weight difference. will she break her broody even if she gets to roost?

Some hens stop being broody easier, and some are harder.

Usually with my hens, repeatedly removing them from the nest for 2-3 days (and collecting any eggs) does the trick.

I had one hen where this didn't work, and so I did the suggestion of a short "room temperature" (not cold) water bath and that worked.
