Broody, Broody, who has a Broody

I have 1 buff orp that is broody. She is so calm, she never clucks, growls, or pecks at me. I only have her on 5-7 eggs (I don't really know). And yellowdragon, I think silkies are the best brooders.

Ive got 3 broody silkies sitting on 14 gray call duck eggs(all together). And one white booted bantam sitting on 5 gray call duck eggs.

Oh, Cyn, they can't wait. Gotta go now! I'm going to satisfy their harmones one way or the other. We have our first broody!!! I am so excited. We have only had our little flock for a year. She is sitting on 9 eggs. I was worried about her setting on that many. But she doesn't seem to be having a problem with it. We are coming up on the end of our first week. Maybe I can get some pics of them soon.

I have 2 bantam RIR hens sitting on about 6 eggs each.

This is the first time I have had broody hens, so I am excited to get some chicks.

We candled last night and so far all the eggs look good. The first batch should hatch next weekend.

Hey Yogiman. I didn't do it. Maybe it was hiddenmagnolia...lol She lives closer than I do. If I had come, then you would have known that I was there. Now do you think that I would come all that way to spike your hens with harmone pills and not "take a few back home with me with me", opps I mean to say hello to you? LOL

Let's see, I have a brown OEGB, a BTJap cross, two Crele OEGB, one Red Pyle, one mixed OEGB, two BTJap broodies. That's a total of 8 broodies.

I have a White Rock sitting on 12 eggs and 2 or 3 more broodies sitting on - NOTHING!!! When I reach underneath them you would think they had golden eggs the way they carry on!

OK which one sold me out. Was it Muffy or was it Fluffy!? I thought That I could trust those girls. Us ladies are suppose to stick together. Last time I'll trust a blond chick! Tell them that the deal is off. I just hope that they don't spill the beans about........
