You said he was eating them both birds need calcium males will eat eggs aswell. Its not just a female thing.

I never breed budgies, as of know just cockateils.I do have one male teil that was giving to me, after the past owner had him he would kill all the babys four batches, needless to say, he was given to me, I don't breed him. He is happy as being single.
umm how many batches of eggs have your female had? Because, as a caring breeder they need a break, three months to 6 months. Sounds like the male is not going to be a breeder if he breaks eggs
