hey guys, so I would like to make a thread on my broody duck, I will keep yous all posted on the outcome
She’s sitting on 23 eggs and there’s only two more weeks to go

I will follow along as I'm very interested in letting one of my ducks go broody soon. It would be a first for me, but I really think Helga wants to hatch her eggs. She has been quite loud and guarding the nest a bit, but not sitting yet.

DUCKLINGS HAVE HATCHED
I can’t see how many but I saw a beak pocking out under mamas wing. I’ll post pics when she lets me see them. She’s being extremely protective.

Well I got one of his butt (under mammas bill) I saw 5 more piped eggs while she was getting water. Let’s see what we get tomorrow

6 ducklings all together. The mom took them out for their first swim. I accidentally dropped one of the rotten eggs when I was removing them and oh boy did it smell. I’ll post some pics tomorrow.
