Broody duck doesn’t get it

I snuck in to check the eggs when Viler went out for a swim and she had 23 eggs, most of them looked fertile. She went back into her best and didn’t seem to notice she now has 6!

They don't care what they have under them. I have 2 Muscovy and 5 chicken hens sitting on nothing and happy as can be.

I thought I’d leave an update on my broody duck. She had been sitting on the eggs for a few hours a day and returning to her coop at night. One night she stayed on the nest and from that point on, she would stay on the eggs except for a swim and a snack once a day. She had over 20 eggs in her clutch which so reduced to 8.

They started hatching yesterday, she’s doing great! She’s not a pure Rouen, I think she may be crossed with Pekin. Not sure if this is actually her baby (we have a pekin and a rouen cross drake).
