Broody ducks

I have three Muscovy ducks. Two of them are very broody to the extent of sitting on empty nests continually for the past 5 weeks. And equally, they aren't laying eggs either. What is the problem and how do I solve it?

What I do is destroy the nest and block it off..They snap out of it quickly...
