Broody Girl

One of my girls had been really broody for a long time now I used to force her out to eat an drink but now she comes out on her own she has no egg to sit on she has put 2 golf balls under her how long does this last????? It has been almost a month now since she has layed an egg.This is my first time going through this.She is a BLK AUSTRALORP

They can break brood any time. Usually after a month is when the decide the golf balls ain't going to hatch. Occasionally they take longer, sometimes much longer. After they break it can take a couple weeks to get back to laying.
