Have they started taking the baby out for walks yet. Egbert and Herbert were out walking around with the other geese when they were 2 days old. Mom and dad were next to the babies and the other geese were out in front making sure that the ducks and chickens stayed out of their way.

I forgot about this thread for a while. I've been very busy lately, but I will try to post pictures.

The Gosling is doing very well, he follows his parents all around the yard and mimics their actions, its very adorable. He has grown so fast! If all nine eggs would have hatched, I don't think the mother would be able to cover more than three or four of them. I haven't seen them go on any swims yet, but they were splashing around when it was raining and there were puddles everywhere.

It´s amazing how many goslings they can cover..they get up in the wings, under the legs, up near her neck...

I'd love to see a goose trying to cover all those babies at that age, it would be very funny. I hope maybe next time she will. The baby is still all fuzzy with yellow down, but he is getting some fluffier white feathers around the wings and other areas.

So where are these pictures you promised us the day after it hatched. I'm a little disappointed lol.

Here they are! I couldn't go any closer to them or they'd chase me away lol. They seem to tolerate me more than anybody else, because anybody who even comes into their line of view gets chased by them

people are afraid to go through the yard now, unless I am with them because so far everybody has gotten bit. Lets hope the aggression subsides with time ....The gosling officially turned a month old on the 8th. he/she is doing great and stick by his parents 24/7. I don't know if it's still young enough to be considered cute anymore, but I love the little guy.
