I love Marans eggs too! I had two Marans, but unfortunately they were killed by a hawk before they started laying.beautiful eggs, I always love Maran eggs

Oh dang, Im sorry. I recently found out that a chicken I thought was a barred rock (and I bought it for the price of one), was actually a cuckoo Maran. Unfortunately mine was also killed before it started laying eggs. Right around week 24 too.I love Marans eggs too! I was looking back at pictures and realized it had pink/grey legs and not bright yellow.
