~Broody Hen Contest!~ Results on first Page

Here's a pic of my broody silkie! She went broody on us in March and just would not stop being broody. She did not have any eggs under her, the other 2 silkies kept laying eggs beside her and she would just roll them under her. SOOOO I decided to bring her in the house and put her in a dog box and give her some eggs to incubate. Here she is and she is on day 20 of the hatch! Keep our fingers crossed she has some hatch. I also have some hatching in the incubator and as soon as some of hers pip, I am gonna sneak a few extra under her so SHE can be a GOOD mommy! I will post pictures when they hatch!

Here is Frieda the Rhode Island Red Hen. She became a Momma at only 8 months old, and what a sweet mother hen she is. See her in the first photo below looking at her eggs after her chicks hatched. In the second photo, you can see that the first chick out had some special bonding time with Mom. And in the third photo, you can see what a proud Mom she is indeed.
