Broody hen & ducklings

Hi all

I have been wondering I had a batch of Indian runner ducks hatch under a broody hen, 4 out of the 6 hatched a day before the expected date, however 1 hatched two days later, and the mother hen rejected it, I managed to bring the chick back to life by placing it in the incubator then the brooder but I was just wondering if I could now reintroduce the duckling back to the mother hen and she would take it as one of her own again

You can try. It's a 50/50 chance of success. Be sure to do it at night in the dark.

Yeah that's what I was thinking I will do it in the dark, do you think it will have a better chance of survival if I put it in my other brooder with the chicks I have

There the same age all about a week old now

Then I would put the duckling in with them as they shouldn't have developed the pecking order yet.
