Since yesterday, today it zipped…. Mom left it unattended for a bit.. was in a different nesting box with chick… I put them back on egg.., this is a full time job. I read not to touch it without someone who knows what their doing..,

Second chick didn’t hatch well.. just picked up a day old chick… so far so good

Do you mean that the second chick has died? Or is it still having trouble hatching?

She died… When I saw zipped didn’t go any further… Mom had left the egg in nest and was in a different nesting box, with chick,when I went into run.. I took it out of shell carefully… slipped it under broody.., either she knew or maybe the time she left egg was too long
