broody hen HELP

I have an ameracauna that has been "broody" for about a month. She just lays in the nesting box on the eggs until I come and take them. I don't have any eggs that I wanted to give her so I decided to see an experiment with some eggs that were supposed to hatch that day. She sat on them for awhile and when one pipped she pecked at the hole when i wasn't looking and took nearly all of the shell off of the egg!!!. Luckily with a little bit of help the chick was still able to survive after going in the incubator but he was real bloody! then she tried to kill the other chicks that hatched but she was still guarding them. So i gave up on the idea and put her back with the other hens and she still sits on the eggs all the time. i'm not sure what to do! HELP but i would like her to hatch some out but idk i'd like your opinion

If she's going through her first broody experience, maybe you should place some eggs under her that still need a few weeks to hatch. Or if you want to break her broodiness, put her in a cage, with only food or water....no bedding, for appx three days. That should stop her broodiness--if you let her out and she goes straight back to the nest boxes, then put her back in the cage for a few more days.

Some first timers get confused anyhow when the chicks start hatching, but you could try again with some eggs that only have a week or so to go. I'd be worried about having her start over with fresh eggs since she's already been broody so long, it might be best to just break her and try again when she goes broody the next time.
