Broody hen or just pissy that we are disturbing her when she’s on the nest laying?

Most my hens will screech when another hen comes near nest,
pretty typical no matter the breed.

Here's my go-to signs of a broody:
Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?

If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.
When I picked her up off her nest she wouldn’t even straighten out her legs. Just flattened back down to the ground. Growling & fluffed up to twice her size. I left her alone for 30 minutes to let her calm down. When I checked on her again she’d left the nesting boxes & was munching away on blackberries. I think she just hates being interrupted while nesting.

Sounds like she may be broody, but she didn't go back to nest.
Some birds are loungers, resting in est before and/or after laying.
I'd just leave her be and see where she sleeps.

Thank you. I’ve watched her closely & she goes into lay her egg & is a total pissy pants to anyone or anything who bugs her until after she’s done. Then she leaves all proud of herself.
