Broody Hen questions (and cute pics)

My broody silkie cross hen is now sitting on 12 day old seramas and a day old buff orp cross. I am worried cause I haven't seen her do anything but sit. Is it too soon to expect her to start showing the chicks where the food is?

Is she in an area where she easily reaches food and water? Maybe if you moved it out so that she would have to get up to eat and drink? The babies should be okay for up to 72 hours without food or water because of the yolk absorption.
