If you don't want chicks, and don't have anyone who wants them all(including the ~50% males)then best not to let her set.I’m ok with her hatching, I just want to be prepared.
We probably won’t keep any of the chicks anyways, we already have enough and we don’t want them mating with the parents.![]()
Parent/offspring breeding is not a terrible thing, quite common with poultry.
The reason not to hatch is because you don't really want more chicks.So as long as I don’t hatch those eggs I’ll be fine?
I heard it messes up the genetics and can cause a lot of problems with the chicks and they can have deformities.![]()
