My Buff orp became broody 3 weeks ago she is sitting on 2 eggs she hardly comes out of the nesting box but when I open it to get the other eggs from the other 3 girls she becomes henzilla puffing up screeching etc. It's also coming up to 28 days and no chicks. I'm new to this chicken thing and I'm afraid she is going to get sick and i dont believe the eggs were fertile. I don't know what to do any suggestions?

When I have a broody, I generally just toss her off the nest once a day or so to encourage eating/drinking. If it's a die-hard broody that won't give up after three weeks, then you may have to force her out of her broodiness. Because we have more than one coop, I can shut a broody out and the others still have places to lay their eggs. But that's not true for everyone. So do a search on "breaking a broody hen". There are lots of posts that will explain it. But basically it involves keeping the hen in a dog crate (elevated if possible for better air circulation all the way around) with no bedding (food and water provided of course) for 2-3 days... Hens do lose a lot of weight/body condition while brooding, so it's good to end it if not hatching. Since brooding means no eggs, many folks will break them almost immediately if sitting on infertile eggs or no eggs.
